50 Cent - Do You Think About Me - produced by ROCWILDER [VIDEO]

WORDS FROM THE HERO?

I was just originally "Just" going to post the Instrumental version of "Do you think about me" for this post, and decided to put my taste aside and just post up the entire song / video + the Instrumental version of his new Lp "Before I self Destruct" even tho I have not heard anything other than the song produced by Rocwilder who happens to be one of my favorite producers (If you click on his name and scroll down to his discography you will see why) Tho I must say this beat doesn't sound like traditional Rocwilder material it is still dope! and not what I would expect to hear from 50cent. The track actually sounds more like A "TRILOGY" Beat than anything. whom produced 2 tracks for "1" of my upcoming project"s" Titled "Romanticizing"
I gotta say that I post this with some hesitation because im not feeling the track itself, but more so just the Instrumental. So here is A version minus that voice of 50 cents that I can no longer take serious after his years of over saturating the market with strait up "Doo Doo" (c) Charlie Brown whatup! LOTNS WHATUP!

"Do you think about me"produced by Rocwilder - Instrumental

......But Since I did move forward with this post I feel like I gotta defend my reasoning. hahaha, There was a point in time when I was excited about "50 Cent" That excitement began and also ended with the two tracks I have posted below. They are both dope and before the whole AFTERMATH iddish when duke was still A hungry emcee. Lucky for me and you there is so much good music out that you don't have to waste your precious eardrums are sub-par bull-ish any longer. =) HsH

WORDS FROM THE HERO

Since the Age of myspace / facebook / twitter - the world is only a moment away. I've noticed in the past 3 years more so than ever that once A Celebrity or Musician passes away it becomes custom to immediately send your regards via posts, comments, tweets, blogs, etc. Tho I must admit alot of very influential artists have moved on these past years, a few of them that have impacted my life greatly and people make T-shirts, Graphic Design Photo's, Songs, etc...

There is absolutely nothing wrong with that but for some reason I always feel a little off kilter by this because I am always reminded that every second, people all around the world are loosing the most important people in their lives and they don't get the ......... I dont even know what to call or how to put it, but it always bothered me.

I was just made aware from A very close friend and extremely talented DJ that Another close friend of mine lost his mother last evening and my heart immediately sank into my stomach. Those of you whom follow my music will know this person as super emcee and producer "Mudd" of the Jazz Addixx but I know him as Corey King.

He is the Genius behind 95 percent of the Jazz Addixx Production and Vocals. He produced "Love was Complicated" as well as added the 3rd classic verse. He also produced the beat for "Get It On" which was A track featuring Fresh Daily and Myself (Dutchmassive) off of Muneshines pre-album titled "Big Man on Campus" as well as many songs I have not yet released.

The Reason I am posting this is because the music of Corey "Mudd" King and Brian "Dj Ragz, as well as Mike "St Mic" as left such a huge imprint on my life and has helped me get thru so many troubled times that I had to give thanks, love and absolute respect to the mother of such A soulful and inspirational son. Tho, I didn't know MS Dorothy King personally other than the times I spoke to her while trying to reach mudd. She has impacted my life greatly and im so sincerely sorry to know that such a wonderful guy is going thru such a painful situation. I wasnt and still are not sure if putting this out there is something I should be doing but it is being done with a crazy amount of love and good intentions. I invite you to listen to all of the songs in the YOUTUBE boxes below. If you are already A JAZZ ADDIXX FAN than you know whats up, If you are a 1st time listener then I am positive you will be FAN from here on out.

If you want 2 drop Mudd A line, you can do so via - Corey "Mudd" King @ Facebook

I've also included A few links that will take you to places you can check out new music, as well as older material and also some spots you can get ahold of the physical CD's as well as the mp3's being people are always asking me where they can find more music from the JAZZ ADDIXX.

ADULT SWIM IN A BOX + ADULT SWIM BUMPS + KIDROBOT x ADULT SWIM - MEGAPOST!!!!!!

http://z.about.com/d/animatedtv/1/0/-/-/1/adultswimdvd.jpg

WORDS FROM THE HERO

Aiight, So ADULT SWIM

IN A BOX? = hmmmm. Dope

IN GENERAL = DOPENESS

So now that we got that clear I just want to use this platform to address a few things. The 1st is that ADULT SWIM lost alot of respect / cool points / views from the fact that "KING OF THE HILL" was added to the lineup. To be honest, tho I am a huge fan of "FAMILY GUY" I was nearly as disappointed when it was added because the show is already A GIANT BEAST and doesn't really need to the type of exposure that I thought ADULT SWIM was about. Tho, I do understand the reasoning behind the family guy decision. I am at A total loss when it comes to king of the hill. To be perfectly honest, I have not come across one single even slightly good opinion towards the show being on ADULT SWIM.

The original programing they have is PURE GENIUS. Tho, I am more prone to stick glued to the T.V. when I turn on ADULT SWIM and see something I don't recognize. I 1st learned of the show "BLEACH" via ADULT SWIM, As well as "CODE GEASS" and "EUREKA SEVEN" and I can say to my readers with extreme cocky confidence that if ANYONE was to WATCH any and all of these shows they would be added to that persons "BEST SHOWS EVER WATCHED" Category.

Those are just A fragment of the dopeness that ADULT SWIM has brought to the AMERICAN LATE NIGHT VIEWING AUDIENCE and BEYOND.

http://cdn.springboard.gorillanation.com/storage/craveonline.com/upl_images/adultswimtvs.jpg

I also would like to address the MUSIC you hear on ADULT SWIM.

Huh? What Music you ask. You know damn well what music I am talking about if your channel is ever fixated on ADULT SWIM for longer than an HOUR you WILL hear some dope music...

I just came across this dope site called:

(bringing adult swim bumpers to your computer
complete with bump info, and audio/video download)

Below are just 5% of the Artists that have BUMPS (Musical Commercial Breaks) That I Love, I am sure there are hundreds more that I will discover as there has been multiple times, I heard amazing music during these bumps and always wanted to know who it was.

(CLICK HERE to search the entire list by ARTIST)

I want to give a huge (shout / Thanks) to the creators/ Staff of www.BUMPWORTHY.com for putting together A site that I know so many people would love to know about! So, To the webmaster "CRAB" as well as the staff "Mr Hang", "Mongo" "NumyMufn" & "Ryan D." The Hobbyshop Hero greatly appreciates you!

"We now return to our regular scheduled post"

Do you like Adult Swim?
Do you like boxes?
Well my friend, I have something to show you!

In 2001, Cartoon Network created a new block of programming on Sunday and Thursday nights geared toward an adult audience. This was the birth of Adult Swim, which has grown from a four hour block of programming two nights a week to its own network that shares the channel with Cartoon Network. In late 2003, Adult Swim started to release DVDs of their original programming with Space Ghost Coast to Coast, Vol. 1 and Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Vol. 1. Each of the different series has garnered a string of releases over the years, and the most popular have been collected in a new release called Adult Swim in a Box. This new release collects six DVD collections from across the Adult Swim lineup in a boxed set for all the fans.

This set contains: season two of Sealab 2021, season one of Metalocalypse, season two of Robot Chicken, season three of Space Ghost Coast to Coast, season one of Moral Oral, volume two of Aqua Teen Hunger Force, and an extra disc with five pilots: The Best of Totally for Teens, Cheyenne Cinnamon and the Fantabulous Unicorn of Sugar Town Candy Fudge, Korgoroth of Barbaria, Perfect Hair Forever, and Welcome to Eltingville. Adult Swim in a Box has some of the most popular series of Adult Swim to date.

Adult Swim in a Box is the kind of DVD Set that comes out once in a blue moon. The set collects season sets of episodes from different series. This is something that is usually unheard of. Most often a dvd set has an episode or two of a few different shows to emulate a specific day of television, like Saturday morning cartoons. But this is a tremendous achievement, especially at the price point. To buy these sets individually it would cost $160, and wouldn’t even come with the disc of pilots. What you get in is six seasons of hugely popular shows, and five pilots two of which are currently unaired, all for $69.98. That is an amazing deal for all that you get. This is something that a fan of Adult Swim should definitely pick up, especially if they haven’t picked up any of the Adult Swim DVDs yet. This will get their collection off with a bang. - [source - Comicsonline]

Royce Da 5'9" & DJ PREMIER - "Shake This" [VIDEO]

[CLICK HERE] - DOWNLOAD THE MP3

WORDS FROM THE HERO......

It is tracks like "SHAKE THIS" that you could play to a little timid grandmother in Idaho and she would be able to feel the message and passion beyond the track. This track is A heat rock and an absolute Instant classic. It is the lead single off of his album "STREET HOP" which brags DJ PREMIER as EXECUTIVE PRODUCER tho I believe "SHAKE THIS" is the only track he lended his production skills on (dont quote me on that tho). The VIDEO is directed by RIK CORDERO

Short side story: I sold my 92 caprice classic to my man RODNEY'S barber "D". real cool cat, didnt know him other than for the few minutes in which I would speak with him each week when I would scoop up my payment. I know he is aware of cats like Raekwon and ish and knew about his new album, but i think he is more used to the hiphop you hear on your local "CLEAR CHANNEL URBAN FM RADIO" so the last payment he asked me to drop him off somewhere on my way back home, So he gets in and i'm playing Illminds "Blaps Rhymes and Life" mixed with some other random bangers and beats to drive to and this song comes on "SHAKE THIS" - I could see the amazement on his face and how intense the emotions were when he heard this track pumping in the car and he turns to me and says where do you get music of this caliber.....Tho I was happy to see him get amped over dope hiphop. I gotta say I wouldnt think Royce is too obscure of a cat that he wouldnt know who he was, but it just made me think how many people would love the dope BOOMBAP or Jazzy or LAZY whatever HIPHOP or ANY GENRE for that matter that doesnt get played on the radio 40 times a day......but don't ever get exposed to it....

  • [CLICK HERE] - TO PURCHASE THE ALBUM (tho personally I can only put my stamp of approval on the single "SHAKE THIS" and maybe a few other joints... but hey, Do You!)

J.J. Brown - "Gender Bender" (feat. Eternia & Miz Metro) - VIDEO

J.J. Brown - Gender Bender. featuring Eternia & Miz Metro from Well Done Entertainment on Vimeo.

WORDS FROM THE HERO

Peace World, 1st I want to apoligize for the brief Hiatus. I was in Long Island from the 8th of November till the 19th and was not able to "post" for you guys during my Trip =) I will be heading back in January for another few weeks but this time, I will leave A heads up post and post plenty of content prior to bouncing haha.

Since I've been back I had to tie up a few loose ends (i.e. Record / Write / Mixdown tracks) before I could jump back into the Blogosphere. I also wanted my Return post to be something special. Well, you are in luck because while catching up on emails and the brief moment of research I got in I noticed something that really caught me off guard!

My man J.J. Brown not only recorded one of the dopest Video's and songs I have heard in years but duke had an entire Album he was promoting and just released and it completely slipped past my radar! (Looking in the mirror giving myself the GASSSFACE!!!)

For those of you who are aware of my music. J.J. Brown was the only cat that Celph Titled respected and Trusted enough to mixdown our music other than himself. I knew J.J. brown from the hundreds of Amazing Beats I would listen to on his Beat Cd's from Celph. He was also at the time the only producer other than Celph to make beats in the Program ACID. (Which is what I use to Record and Mix my Vocals) ....... On top of that, 95% of the Cuts you hear on my solo Debut Album "Junk Planet" (which was created from 98-2002 and released in 2004) were J.J. Brown!!!!!! I would also like to ADD..... I think my album featured the 1st ever recorded verse from J.J. Brown as A Super Emcee?!?! Don't Quote me on that but I think thats correct.

So yea....... It goes without saying that when I saw the Video for "Gender Bender" I was not only super Proud but excited that my man was finally getting the shine he deserves...... I still havent heard any of the album other than this video, but if its anything like this banger I know I will love it!!!!! Im so glad he linked with one of my favorite emcee's "ETERNIA" for this track and also put me onto the lovely and extremely talented MIZ METRO (FUNFACT: after I watched the Video for Gender Bender, I spent a few hours Internet Stalking Mizz Metro trying to find out every single detail about the super animated soulstress! only to find out she is taken by the MultiMedia Genius Mad Man Clock Designer/ Emcee "Crosby" who I will be doing A follow up post on in the next week on his dope Clock Creations)!!!!

now on with the post!!!!

Solebox X Saucony – Shadow 90

www.solebox.com/

W
ORDS FROM THE HERO

You may or may not have heard of "SOLEBOX" but chances are if you are A Sneaker Freak, you are well aware of the name. You also may or may not remember A previous post on this site that I did which featured one of my favorite sneakers of all time, the SOLEBOX x PUMA R698

http://www.sneakerfiles.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/puma-r698-x-solebox-online-release-today-1.jpg

Now, by Clicking on the Sneaker pictured about or THIS LINK you will warp to one of my most detailed post in HobbyshopHero History.

Once again, the Elusive SoleBox is set to release A Sneaker that I would love to own, tho probally will never have the chance to even hold hahahaha. Saucony isn't A very popular or trendy name in the shoe game. But (You can put But after a Period can you??! oh well) If you know me personally (and there is only one False Greek Goddess who truely knows my personality) then you know I could care less about COST, or TREND, NAME BRAND, ETC. I just like what I like...... I even own A pair of 9.99 Velcro shoes from "Wall-Mart" because, well they look Fly!

http://i41.tinypic.com/2w57e6e.jpg

Point I am trying to make, tho I don't think heads will be flying off the hindges to cop Saucony's, I think this collabo might be the exception. Even tho I have seen A Dozen Dope Saucony colorways since 2008. Now, These jawns are rumored to drop someone where in the November/december Range but who knows? All I know is that the SOLEBOX/SAUCONY SHADOW 90 is the Butters! and I want em! The shoe fuses a Shadow 6000 upper with that midsole of a Shadow 5000. The black upper is touched up sparingly with a salmon colored orange. Too bad there are only A few photos of these classics so far!

Mini MPC 2000XL Sampler and SP1200 Drum Machine USB Flash Drives

www.hiphopflashdrive.com

WORDS FROM THE HERO

It's crazy the ideas that we come up with sometimes. I remember vividly the 1st time I came across A CD in which you could customize yourself..... Hahaha you think about that now and Burned Cd's aren't anything special, but imagine A time before that technology was Available to the wide public. I grew up making mixtapes by the dozens each week, and everyone knows that the ultimate way to a teenage girl is thru the making of a custom mixtape. Lucky for me, my friend Celph Titled was one of the 1st people to get ahold of the Burned CD tech, so when my girlfriends birthday arrived and I gave her a CD with custom songs, even my voice on it, she melted..... As Time change and the Tech gets better and better we find new ways to use them to our advantage.

On the Flip side of this tech story. I once had a show, and before hand I spent my hard earned money on Cheap Walkmans and headphones.... This was around the time my Debut album "JUNKPLANET" was coming out. So bought A Grip of Walkmans and cassettes and made A Mix of my song "Just me and my Walkman" produced by Deeskee and put it on repeat over and over..... During my set, once I broke out and performed "Just me and my Walkman" on stage, I threw walkmans into the crowd instead of T-shits.... Needless to say, I dont think anyone used Cassette Walkmans anymore at that point, but the love and thought I put behind it won over some very thankful and loyal fans.......

I bring those stories up because since then, and with the change of the music industry going from cassette to CD to now I-tunes or just plain old downloading bootleg copies, and blogs and podcasts... I've been thinking in Investing in cheap 2 to 4 gb USB flash drives customizing them and putting my new album on it and selling em instead of pressing up Cd's

These Mpc2000XL and SP1200 Flash Drives reminded me of those ideas, tho Im sure there will be alot of people wishing they sold the Flash Drives in Ensoniq ASR10 (whatup SlopFunkdust!) or even MPC3000 formats hahahaha.....

anyways, I would love for the person who brainstormed and followed thru with this to shoot me an email at (dutchmassive[at]gmail.com) if they ever read this hahahaha...

Heres some actual info on the products themselves.....

The 4GB flash drives feature Toshiba memory with casing constructed from PVC rubber fashioned in near exact detail of the original Akai MPC 2000XL and EMU SP1200 samplers.

At the moment both drives are pre-order only with a scheduled ship date of June 12, 2009.

See the website for complete details.

ST/MiC "Honest Music" in stores now!!

WORDSFROMTHEHERO

In 2005 , I was Blessed to meet some of the most talented musicans whom all became close friends of mine. Of that group, I met Brian (Dj Ragz) and Corey (mudd) whom combined formed the
ultra Classic Duo, The Jazz Addixx! Thru that relationship I was introduced to another Amazing human by the name of ST/MIC.

During that time, I was living with Fan, turned best friend/roomate, Will Widdoss who became my Favorite Wordsmith of all time, next to Median. I started working with the Jazz Addixx on the reg, and began to do the same with St MIC. Unfortunately my personal life took precedent over my musical endevours at the time at all the amazing Plans we had ended up only surfacing as a few collaborations. Of those are the two songs you see below.

ST/MIC

Soulfully inclined producer, MC, and turntablist ST/MiC (pronounced "saint mike") was a musical prodigy at a young age, learning to play the bass, guitar, and drums all by the time he was 14. In high school, he shifted from live instruments to sample-based electronics and DJing, and studied under house-dance remixer and producer Holmes Ives. Using the spelled out moniker "St. Michael," he cut his teeth as a DJ on the East Coast's electronic dance scene, performing his hip-hop and drum'n'bass productions throughout the 90s. His first release on wax was the drum'n'bass cut "Scared Before," issued by Random Recordings in 1998. He also made many appearances on mixtapes by frequent collaborator DJ Ragz, one-half of hip-hop group Jazz Addixx. Though he released more recordings in the 2000s, including some low-key EPs and collaborative projects with rappers the Unknown and other half of Jazz Addixx, M.U.D.D., he devoted his time to honing his production and audio engineering skills, and he eventually settled down in Virginia. In that time, he was responsible for mixing down songs for Skillz, Rass Kass, C-Rayz Walz, Cris Prolific (featuring artists such as: Guilty Simpson, Baatin of Slum Village, Illa J, Phat Kat, Black Milk and More) and, of course, Jazz Addixx. In 2007, Australian-based Vibra Online issued ST/MiC's first full-fledged effort, the MP3-only On My Days Off, an instrumental LP combining edgy, angular drum'n'bass with relaxing, downtempo soul ( Later Officially Released by AudibleObjects). The decidedly hip-hop album, Life's Work, featuring guest spots and production by the Unknown and Jazz Addixx (among others), arrived a year later on Domination Recordings. A few months later a Japanese Import version of "Life's Work" was released on CD and vinyl by Yanase Pro Japan.

About the release: "Life's Work" was 3 years in the making before ST/MIC decided it should just be a snapshot of what was really going on in his life at the time. It's really a combination of all the moods and feelings associated with that time period. There are a lot of retrospective moments as well. Some mellow vibes and also some darker, more powerful and driven tracks. Although ST/MIC did a good deal of the production on the record, it would have never manifested into what it's become without all of the great artists involved. There was production by The Unknown, DJ Ragz and Mudd. Guests include The Unknown, Jazz Addixx (DJ Ragz and Mudd), DutchMassive, TAMU, Distruck, Primo The Cinematic and Flaco. So That's it. Honest music. Enjoy!

3. Music influences?
Not sure if i should be specific or vague here..

I love Jazz, Some favs are Coltrane, Davis, Horace Silver, Freddie Hubbard, Herbie Hancock, Stan Getz Etc..

Soul of course, Some Rock, Classical. Hip hop, or did i even have to mention that. Everything really is a musical influence for me. traffic, the couple arguing at the table in the cafe over there, my children laughing. you know, life. It sounds good to me!

4. Debut appearance?
Man... as a lyricist..ok it was this house party right. Ragz, Mudd.. yall remember this? See i started off as a DJ and my crew and i threw a lot of small club events and house parties... anyway long story short.. i grabbed the mic at this house party and spit this 48 bar piece i had written (first rhyme ever) and heads were like "what the F#$k?!" anyway, after that i was on a few DJ Ragz mix tapes..i did a joint with The Embassy Click called "I See You".. It built from there.

5. What have you released so far?
I did a drum and bass release on wax back in like '97 or '98 on Random Recordings. A few indy releases. "Ronin EP", I did an EP with The Unknown. MUDD and I had a EP out under the name Exact Change..it was called "two cents". i had an Instrumental album out on this Australian Label Vibra Online (you can get the download on my myspace page myspace.com/stmic)... and the album I'm about to drop "Life's Work" on Domination Recordings.

6. Do you produce?
I do. I started as a DJ, Then added producing. and i figured, everyone else in the world raps... why not me..i guess

7. Best moment for you in hip hop?
The days my 2 sons were born... respectivly.

8. Any plans for a tour or shows in the near future?
Indeed. I would like to do a Europe/Japan tour early Summer '08. Hit me up if you wanna book me! I'll do US shows when ever some one asks me to. I'm just not gonna set up and promote my own shows any more. Did that for too long and it got real old.

9. What's next?
Everything that comes after right now.
(also, more music... Hit me up if you want to work)

10. Shout outs?
My Family, DJ Ragz, MUDD, Unknown, DJ @ Domination, Distruck, Olly Stones aka Olly Ox Grill, Bliss (Daneyeam), Headrush.. The whole Embassy Click, DutchMassive, all of the other people I know, Just cause i didn't type the name, it doesn't mean i don't appreciate you.
