You may or may not have heard of "SOLEBOX" but chances are if you are A Sneaker Freak, you are well aware of the name. You also may or may not remember A previous post on this site that I did which featured one of my favorite sneakers of all time, the SOLEBOX x PUMA R698

Once again, the Elusive SoleBox is set to release A Sneaker that I would love to own, tho probally will never have the chance to even hold hahahaha. Saucony isn't A very popular or trendy name in the shoe game. But (You can put But after a Period can you??! oh well) If you know me personally (and there is only one False Greek Goddess who truely knows my personality) then you know I could care less about COST, or TREND, NAME BRAND, ETC. I just like what I like...... I even own A pair of 9.99 Velcro shoes from "Wall-Mart" because, well they look Fly!

Point I am trying to make, tho I don't think heads will be flying off the hindges to cop Saucony's, I think this collabo might be the exception. Even tho I have seen A Dozen Dope Saucony colorways since 2008. Now, These jawns are rumored to drop someone where in the November/december Range but who knows? All I know is that the SOLEBOX/SAUCONY SHADOW 90 is the Butters! and I want em! The shoe fuses a Shadow 6000 upper with that midsole of a Shadow 5000. The black upper is touched up sparingly with a salmon colored orange. Too bad there are only A few photos of these classics so far!

Solebox x Puma R698 The R698 runner is a great performance shoe based on Puma's Trinomic technology. If you ever wore a Puma Disc or the Blaze of Glory, then you will know how comfy these are. The perfect shoe for the night out avoiding random renegade Sneaker scuffers. The Laces are A concept that has been displayed before in demo mode, Remember those flashing laces? Well, they are plastic coated wires, which are active glowing. You press the On Button and the laces start to do their job. They only blink if you walk. So if you stand still, The lights will remain on and stop blinking. Suede and mesh materials were used as most performance sneakers do. Being categorized as A white shoe, the black & steel gray base work well w/ the Subtle Blue and Florescent pink accents. A reported 500 pairs made available isnt the best news being they were released A few days ago, the 18th of April (The day of Solemart). At 1st, they will only be sold instore @t solebox in berlin, but the remaining pairs going online same day or a day later.

As you can see, Puma created A Promo Rug to compliment the R698 release. From what i've heard it is the only one in existence right now and there is no plans for it to be reproduced for retail. Who knows, chances are it will pop up on Ebay sometime in the near future

While the R698 can only be found for purchase @t SOLEBOX it was the Style Juggernaut of Feet, SNEAKER FREAKER that made me Hip to it's existence. While browsing the content I noticed that the new Issue is set to be released and it has A Glow in the Dark Cover for those who Pre-order it!!!!!!

Sneaker Freaker’s Issue 15 is a week from hitting the stands and the good people from this Australian born sneaker guide has made a special limited glow-in-the-dark edition for the issue. The cover features large Nike soles that glow in the dark. But do not judge a magazine by its covers– Issue 15 is packed with exclusive interviews and never-seen-before products.

Also, in conjunction with the release, Sneaker Freaker is having a launch party at Revovler Upstairs on May 1st at 7pm. Revolver Upstairs is where the first edition of Sneaker Freaker started, and the launch party goes back to the magazine’s roots for some reminiscing.

Sneaker Freaker’s Issue 15 is now available for pre-order at Sneaker Freaker. On a side note for collectors and interested readers, the glow-in-the-dark edition is not available through retail and can only be obtained by pre-order at the magazine’s site!
