Mega Man 9 (ロックマン9 野望の復活!!, Rokkuman 9: Yabō no Fukkatsu!! Rockman 9: The Ambition's Revival!!) is a platform game by Capcom. It is the latest game in the original Mega Man series, and the first numbered entry since 1996's Mega Man 8. Its existence was first hinted through the Australian OFLC ratings board, which listed the title on the site and classified it as multi-platform. The game is currently available for download on WiiWare and PlayStation Network and is scheduled to be released on Xbox Live Arcade.

Story

Mega Man's creator Dr. Light is blamed for a robotic rapage and Dr. Wily himself has no apparent connection to it (even showing a video of Dr. Light declaring world domination and Wily refusing to follow him), announcing that he needs donations to complete the robots he created to combat those of Dr. Light. Mega Man must fight to prove his creator's innocence and expose Wily's true intentions.

Gameplay

Using Mega Man and Mega Man 2 as the main inspiration for the title, Mega Man lacks the Power Slide and Mega Buster featured in later games, although the game does feature items such as the Rush Coil, Rush Jet, and Beat. In a future add-on, Proto Man will be able to slide and charge up his buster.The game features several Challenges that require certain requirements to be met to be completed. Other features include a Time Attack mode and a shop where Mega Man can purchase items such as energy tanks, as well as bonus options such as removing his helmet.

Downloadable content

Downloadable content for the game will be made available for purchase during October. These include giving players the ability to play as Proto Man, more difficult modes and special levels featuring a new boss.

-Play the game as Proto Man. You can use the shield while jumping. Some of Proto Man's abilities may differ from Mega Man's, such as having the ability to slide and charge your Buster. The Video for Parisian Goldfish is dope, its not what I expected from Lotus but definitely fit the theme (Tim & Eric / Adult Swim) involvement is A nice touch. I love the fact that Flying Lotus doesn't just make music and rock shows, but he brings a whole brand or a whole theme of video's, artwork, promos all that are on some HobbyshopHero Iddish.... ... IF your not sure of what im getting at, click on the DESTROY link above..... The fact he ties his releases to entertaining and relevant marketing strategies is something I wish more artists would take advantage of. (it doesn't hurt he is surrounded by like minded talented individuals)

I know how the WEB can be and how links can disappear and how some tutorials and some files work for one person but not another, or some info works for this computer but not the next, So I tried to post a few different sources and methods about this topic. I hope some of it helps. - THEHobbyshopHERO

1. All you need is a Jailbroken iPod touch and a Wi-fi connection.
2. First, install the NES emulator found in Installer.app
3. Then, tap on installer.app, tap on Sources, tap on Edit (top right of screen), then tap on Add (top right of screen).
4. Enter the following after http://

6. Then go back to Install and install Bigboss' NES Roms package (found in the Games section).
7. Then tap on NES on your homescreen. You will now have approx seventy ROMs (Mario, Zelda etc) ready to play, complete with game save feature.
   

This really has to be the easiest way to get ROMs onto your touch.

NES.app uses the popular InfoNES emulation core to mimic the 6502 processor in a Nintendo Entertainment System, allowing you to play ROM dumps of games designed for the NES console. ROM dumps are files containing the dumped instruction code from a physical cartridge. In many cases, you are legally entitled to posess a ROM dump of any game that you presently own. ROM images for NES are widely available online, or with the appropriate hardware, you can dump them yourself directly from the cartridge.

NES.app started as a fork based on the same original code as iPhoneNES, but has been completely rewritten to run very fast, and with many additional features such as sound, game genie, saved games, and full screen support.

Awesome Lego Mario Model Built Using NextEngine 3D Scanner

This is awesome. A Lego and 3D fanatic took a small Mario figurine, scanned it into a computer using the NextEngine 3D Scanner and used the data to create a near-perfect replica in Lego bricks, just much larger. I scanned a Mario action figure using the excellent NextEngine scanner...

The resultant mesh in the scanning application...

Imported into modo as OBJ and scaled to the size of the
model I wanted to build (75cm). I used the bend tool to bend his
arms closer to his body so the Lego model would be structurally stronger...

In a new layer I created a large array of Lego sized cubes
which were approximatley the shape of the Mario mesh...

Using Solid Drill>Stencil, I was able to select only the cubes which intersected the Mario mesh...

The building begins...

Four years after the release of their critically acclaimed debut "Connected,"
The Foreign Exchange returns with their sophomore set, "Leave It All Behind." Consisting of singer/songwriter Phonte and producer Nicolay, The Foreign Exchange came together via the online hip-hop community Okayplayer.com in 2002. After trading files through Instant Messenger for over a year, Nicolay (living in his native Holland at the time) and Phonte (a Raleigh, NC resident) completed their debut album before they ever met each other in person. The album, "Connected," was released in 2004 to positive reviews, and was praised by legendary DJ's such as Jazzy Jeff, King Britt, and DJ Spinna for its inventive mix of hip-hop, R&B, and electronica.

"Leave It All Behind" finds The Foreign Exchange much closer in geography (Nicolay has since become a resident of Wilmington, NC), but located much further from their hip-hop origins. The duo's second full-length is a dark, multilayered affair that features Phonte showcasing his abilities as an exceptional lead and harmony vocalist, while Nicolay extends his musical palette to include sprinklings of jazz, downtempo, and house. The lush, Darien Brockington-assisted "Take Off the Blues" picks up where Connected's sleeper hit "Come Around" left off, while the complex polyrhythms and dreamy synthesizers of "Sweeter Than You" are described by Phonte as "swing jazz for the next century." Marc Mac (of legendary UK production team 4hero), also contributes a string arrangement to the duo's glorious cover of Stevie Wonder's oft-forgotten 1991 gem, "If She Breaks Your Heart." In addition to appearances from longtime FE affiliates Darien Brockington and Yahzarah, the album also features guest shots from producer/keyboardist Zo! and vocalist Muhsinah.
