FLY.ROBOT is made up of two separate ideas.FLYis the natural side. It embodies everything that is natural in our surroundings; everything from nature, emotion, and experience.ROBOTis the unnatural side. It is characteristic of everything that is unnatural, technology, advancement, computers and the future. When these two entities are forced upon each other, a stimulating concoction of ideas, colors and visual aesthetics arise. From this hodgepodge surfaces the dynamic that is, FLY.ROBOT.

A tribute to James Dewitt Yancey (February 7, 1974–February 10, 2006), better known as J Dilla or Jay Dee, was an acclaimed hip-Hop producer who emerged from the mid-1990s underground Hip-Hop scene in Detroit, Michigan. He began his career as a member of the group Slum Village, and was also a driving force in the production trio The Ummah. Yancey started his career under the name Jay Dee (based on his initials) but used the name J Dilla from 2001 onward. Many critics believeJ Dilla’s work to have had a major influence on his peers and that he embodied the neo soul sound, playing a defining yet understated role during the sub-genre’s rise (roughly from the mid-90s to the early 2000s). J Dilla was often dubbed “your favorite producer’s favorite producer,” and was highly regarded by hip hop artists and producers such asRoyce Da 5′9″, Common, Kanye West, A Tribe Called Quest, Just Blaze, Busta Rhymes, Pharrell Williams, Madlib, The Pharcyde, Slum Village and ?uestlove. Now you can help keep the legacy of James “Jay Dee” Yancey alive and order yours now from GHETTOROCKCLOTHING.COM.In purchase of these tees 15% of the proceeds will go to the J Dilla foundation in efforts to help Lupus research and creating awareness.- Gracefully lifted from http://blog.theevilcollector.com

UPDATE! 12/28/2008 FROM THE HERO AFTER THE ORIGINAL POST:
I just finished watching Episode 25 or "Trick 25" as the series refers to the shows, and it ends on A cliffhanger. After hours of Research not wanting to believe my eyes, This show has been canceled due to a lack of interest in Japan. Good news is since its international release its been picking up tremendous steam and support. I know I will purchase this series on DVD as I made me feel great and inspired watching it. Anything that brings you to such a positive level is worth investing in. It seems I have A Curse with shows I fall in love with getting Canceled, BLADE the TV Series, ANGEL ended on season 5 when there was so much more to be told, PEACEMAKER ended with a need for more. I can go on and on.... I just dont understand how this happens...
Why Isnt the Movie / Anime Buisiness like the music buisiness, Alot of us do not have support from label's in fact alot of us sacrifice everything our careers, lovers, families and friends to make sure we deliver our artform into the world. why cant this happen for the Film industry.
I wanna ask everyone reading this a huge favor. Please take just a moment to go to this link and sign the potition for AIR GEAR SEASON 2.....PLEASE and THANK YOU
Air Gear (エア・ギア, Ea Gia?) is a shōnenmanga and anime by the mangaka Oh! great. Air Gear is about the life of ItsukiMinami "Ikki", also known as "Baby face" and "Lil (and Little) Crow", and his friends. The story follows their use of Air Trecks, an in-universe invention derived from inline skates. The early parts of the story carry out the introduction of characters that eventually join Ikki. As the story progresses, it focuses on their roles as Storm Riders and their quest to be on the top of the Trophaeum Tower. It won the 2006 KodanshaManga Award in the shōnen category.
MORE INFO TO FOLLOW AFTER WORDS FROM THE HERO -=)
So, I wanted to share A Anime series with you guys and gals that I absolutely love. I just started Watching AIRGEAR A few days ago on NETFLIX... It has all 25 episodes and im only at 9 so far but I am in love with it. The Main Character "Ikki" is played by the talented "Chris Patton" who does alot of voices for Anime I love. The show has an Amazing Hi-energy Electro-Dance-Stutter-Disco ....like Deelite meets ak1200 and a few jazzy joints I love. Within the Hour I downloaded Both soundtracks for the show. haha. I am not going to do my usual super post w/ a bunch of photos and links and extras because, well.... Id rather you just take my word and check it out. The only complaint I have is there is alot of unnecessary bad language and nudity, which is cool i guess, but It a little excessive and doesn't seem to be needed hahaa. Other than that tho. I highly recommend it. My next Anime Review / promoting will be on the Series The PeaceMaker, which is A 10 out of 10 Anime. Until then. Peace World. now back to the Info.
Itsuki "Ikki" Minami, is a student and a delinquent. Also known as the "Unbeatable Babyface", Ikki is the leader of the youth gang by the name of "East Side Gunz" (Hikatsuganzu). Upon his return home, after being humiliated by a Storm Rider team called the Skull Saders, Ikki discovers a secret hidden from him by his benefactors, the Noyamano sisters. The sisters belong to a group of Storm Riders who go by the team name of Sleeping Forest. In the anime, learning the sisters' secret angers him and he steals a pair of Air Trecks, abbreviated as "AT". (In the manga, the sisters give a pair of ATs to him and invite him to skate with them.) Ikki eventually settles his grudge with the Skull Saders, but in the process he receives more than the simple satisfaction of revenge. Determined to experience the sensation of "flight" for as long as he can, Ikki is quickly engaged in the mysterious, irresistible world of Air Treks.
Peace World, I got an Email from my man Vance (Centauri) last night, and it was this Dope beat From N.C. Producer (L in Japanese) . It said he wanted to do this track about Hiphop History, but break it down in the form of A Day, Morning, Afteroon, Night, etc.
I Agreed to the track immediately regardless of my already over book schedule on Writing/producing/mixing etc.
So In the Spirit of Prep for writing this song. I wanted to share some Songs / Videos that I grew up on, As did Centauri..... From 1992-2002 I was Immersed into Hiphop, There wasnt a song or album Commerical or independent that made it past my radar I.E. my WALKMAN.
Obviously, I could Fill 20 Blogs and max out the space alloted for creation on posting Dope videos alone. So These are just A Few of the Thousands of FAVORITES, Dutch has!.
Big Up to Brian Nellis, Celph Titled, Gerado Dejesus, Majik Most, Athena L' Abbate, Joe Phelps, SlopFunkDust, Etc.... The List goes on, but this is for those who lived they childhood with Hiphop as they bestfriend, Enjoy.

So, When I heard Kick Push....I was in Heaven, Then I got the album Food & Liquor and tho there was Alot of dope tracks I wasnt Blown away like I hoped I would be.
So The Cool Dropped and I Supported...Popped it in and..... Tho there was Alooot of reallly dope tracks, I wasnt Blown away, but It did stay in rotation / repeat for a while and I still put it in rotation. So Im not exactly sure what to expect from this last / or Next album... I doubt it is his last, I am actually Positive. I think my huge turning point was watching Lupe Fiasco Butcher Tribe's Lyrics at the award show only to find out he never heard Midnight Maruaders. Which is fine, but how he reacted saying he doesnt care to even hear it. That ish sent me in a tail spin with how i felt about cat. I know he wants to appeal to street / thugish / hood image. Well Im not one of those people who hates on an artist for dropping different ish. Once you release A Classic like Kick Push. You gained a Fan for life w/ The Hobbyshop Hero.
Peace World, or at lease the 13,000 or so that Subscribe to this Online BLOGaZINE This POST comes with A Little laughter, A Lesson, A for me A little Regret.
1st off, That Video of T-PAIN Clowning himself is Amazing. I just gained a lot more respect for that cat than I already had, but that was just super dope. AUTOTUNER is A Dope Tool that was USED out of Control and now is onEXTREME OVERKILL. People either HATE IT or LOVE IT. Personally, As A Emcee, Producer, Engineer...I feel that Autotuner is could be A extremely useful tool, and it can do a lot more than make that one signature sound. HOWEVER, All these kids going nuts trying to make they're tracks sound exactly like "T-Pain" is pretty Weaksauce. - Infact - To show you just how bad it is, I've turned this post into A Informative piece. Now, there are A Million and 1 Step by Step Tutorials on how to use the software to achieve thatROBO sound. So I went ahead and Copy and Pasted one I came across below the lines. Which I was Hesitate to do because I do NOT want to add to the problem. At the same time tho, I would like to educate the people who listen to music but don't really get into all the producer secrects and all that. Someone who might not ever think of the word "Software" in they're lives. I also posted A Little Vocoder History as well. Pretty much everything after these yellow lines I just Copy & Pasted for your learning Benefit =)
Before I let you guys get to all the technical stuff I wanna give you another AUTOTUNER parody joint from B.O.B. - ENJOY hahahaha
1970’s - 80’s: Vocoder is used as a special effect in many songs, most of which have a robot (Mr. Roboto) or futuristic theme. The effect is never a dominant aspect of a song (good!)
1996: 2pac’s ‘California Love‘ tops the charts and features a vocoded robot on the hook
1997: Auto-Tune is released and uses a type of vocoder to correct pitch in vocal and instrumental performances (translation: it makes your shitty voice sound on key with a slight computerized sound)
1998: Producers use Auto-Tune to frighten the world with Cher’s new sound in her hit single ‘Believe‘
1999 - 2004: Producers everywhere take note and use Auto-Tune to craft catchier hooks and improve lackluster vocals. See KCi & JoJo (’Crazy’), Daft Punk (’One More Time’), Madonna (lots), Britney Spears (ha!), Eiffel 65 (’Blue’), let me know more that come to mind…
2005: T-Pain releases his first single, ‘I’m Sprung‘, which features close to zero non-Auto-Tuned vocals. T-Pain releases his second single, ‘I’m In Luv With A Stripper‘, which showcases his lyricism, but still not his real voice
Present:
A vocoder, IPA: [ˈvoʊkoʊdər] (a portmanteau of vox/voc (voice) and encoder), is an analysis / synthesis system, mostly used for speech in which the input is passed through a multiband filter, each filter is passed through an envelope follower, the control signals from the envelope followers are communicated, and the decoder applies these (amplitude) control signals to corresponding filters in the (re)synthesizer
Musical history
In 1970, electronic music pioneers Wendy Carlos and Robert Moog developed one of the first truly musical vocoders. A 10-band device inspired by the vocoder designs of Homer Dudley, it was originally called a spectrum encoder-decoder, and later referred to simply as a vocoder. The carrier signal came from a Moog modular synthesizer, and the modulator from a microphone input. The output of the 10-band vocoder was fairly intelligible, but relied on specially articulated speech. Later improved vocoders use a high-pass filter to let some sibilance through from the microphone; this ruins the device for its original speech-coding application, but it makes the "talking synthesizer" effect much more intelligible.
Carlos and Moog's vocoder was featured in several recordings, including the soundtrack to Stanley Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange, in which the vocoder sang the vocal part of Beethoven's "Ninth Symphony". Also featured in the soundtrack was a piece called "Timesteps," which featured the vocoder in two sections. Originally, "Timesteps" was intended as merely an introduction to vocoders for the "timid listener", but Kubrick chose to include the piece on the soundtrack, much to the surprise of Wendy Carlos.[citation needed]
Pink Floyd made extensive use of the vocoder on the album Animals, even going so far as to put the sound of a barking dog through the device. Another example is Giorgio Moroder's 1977 album From Here to Eternity. Vocoders are often used to create the sound of a robot talking, as in the Styx song "Mr. Roboto". It was also used for the introduction to the Main Street Electrical Parade at Disneyland. The hard rock/metal band Avenged Sevenfold also used this effect for portions of the vocals on the song "Lost" from their self-titled album, released in 2008.
"Robot voices" became a recurring element in popular music during the late twentieth century. Several methods of producing variations on this effect have arisen, of which the vocoder remains the best known and most widely-used.[citation needed] The following other pieces of music technology are often confused with the vocoder: the Talk box (Sonovox), Auto-Tune, Linear predictive coding, Ring modulation, Speech synthesis and Comb filter.

How to Autotune Your Vocals Like T-Pain, Cher or Daft Punk
Ever heard a song by T-Pain on the radio and wondered how the robotic vocal effect is achieved? By the end of this tutorial, you will own the autotuning sound that is used on so many pop records right now.
Nic Bertino is a professional producer and recording artist from Sacramento, California, with over 9 years of production experience.
Note: this article contains embedded audio that will not display in a feed reader. Click back to the site to read the tutorial with audio, or download the audio files at the bottom of the post. Listen to some examples of this effect in action:
You may assume that it takes a masterful engineer and a lot of money in hard effects to get that autotuned sound, but that's not the case: using only a few steps and a simple plugin you will be well on your way. In this tutorial we'll go one step further and show you how to create an autotuning effect that sounds as good as the pros.
This tutorial assumes basic knowledge of VST effects and FL Studio. You will need Antares AutoTune VST or a similar autotuning VST to perform this effect correctly, and of course, a microphone that is able to record into FL Studio. Besides that plugin, I will be using the effects packaged with FL Studio to finish shaping the sound.
Tutorial Setup:
iMac Core2Duo 2.16ghz
2GB Ram
Audio Technica ST90 Microphone ($25!!)
Alesis IO 26
Step 1
Make sure you've purchased Antares AutoTune, a similar VST, or have picked up the demo. If you're wary of purchasing this product, I've found that if you are working with any sort of vocals it pays for itself almost immediately.
We are going to setup a mixer channel in FL Studio to pickup our microphone. Mine is on Blobusound Channel 2, so I select that accordingly.
If done correctly, you should have activity on the input meter. If not, you're going to need to check your ASIO/WDM settings, or make sure that you have a soundcard or interface that can support a microphone input.
Assuming you have activity coming in and that you can hear yourself, load Antares AutoTune onto the first slot of the mixer. Notice any difference? You probably can't--we need to change some settings before going further.
This is the raw vocal I'll be working with in this tutorial:
raw_vocal.mp3
Step 2
At this point, you're going to want to change the "Input Type" at the top. This helps the tuning engine accurately adjust the incoming signal (in this case, your voice) to "tune" correctly. We are going to manipulate the tuning engine by changing it to "Alto/Tenor Voice". This will trick the AutoTuner into shifting your voice upwards, and "filling in" your missed notes with a synthesized "voice."
With the input type changed, it is now time to change the key and scale. T-Pain's hit song 'Buy U A Drank' is in B-flat minor, so we'll change the key to B-flat and the scale to minor.
You may notice some difference here, but the key to real auto-tuned vocals is to change the "Retuning" threshold to as fast as possible, in this case "0." With it down at zero, when your voice fluctuates from note to note, it detects what note your voice is in, then jumps it to the next note in the scale, keeping it in key. With these basic settings in place, you should be singing your robotic heart out.
vocal_autotuned.mp3
But this is just the basic effect, and through my $25 Audio Technica mic, it is sounding a little dry.
Step 3
The spirit of this effect is to sound a little more robotic, so what we are going to do now is further create that robotic/artificial sound using other effects. These effects will change from microphone to microphone, so it is important to experiment until you get the sound you're looking for.
The next thing in my FX chain after the auto-tuner is going to be an EQ plugin. I'll be using this EQ to brighten up the highs, and exaggerate the artificial effect. Using EQUO, I've boosted all of the frequencies past 2.5khz to about 400%. This exaggerated EQ will add even more definition to the robotic effect. This may produce too much brightness on nicer microphones, so you may want to start at 400% and work your way down until you've got a reasonably bright vocal.
vocal_autotune_eq.mp3
Step 4
After the EQUO, I'll add a Reverb effect to the chain. This is my standard vocal Reverb palette, and I've placed it at about 50% volume to make sure that it isn't too overpowering on my vocals.
vocal_autotune_eq_reverb.mp3
Step 5
Optional: At this point, I've found that inserting the newly-added Soundgoodizer plug-in after the Reverb works very, very well on autotuned vocals. Give it a shot in the effects chain to get some interesting effects due to Soundgoodizer's limiter. It also keeps the volume level high and limited, which adds to the artificial sound.
Step 6
After the Fruity Reverb, I'll add what is probably the most important and delicate effect in the chain, a chorus. Refer to the settings snapshot to recreate this wonderful effect: it will give your vocal plenty of depth, and it has convinced many of my listeners that I am not, in fact, recording on a $25 microphone!
vocal_autotune_eq_reverb_chorus.mp3
Step 7
Moving on from there, my next effect is the Fruity Delay Bank. I've kept this one simple, and it will create a little more atmosphere along with the Reverb that was added earlier in the chain. Notice that I've used some pretty crazy volume/mix values for the effects. Sometimes an effect becomes too overpowering at full volume, so experiment with turning it down until you achieve a nice balance.
To smooth everything out after the Fruity Delay Bank, I'll throw a Fruity Compressor onto the channel and you are recording-ready and set to sound like T-Pain!
