One of the simplest & down right dopest Videos I've seen since U-N-I's debut video "K.r.e.a.m." The fact that Quence used the Tribe Buggin Out Sample Doesnt Hurt, In fact if anyone should be Re-flipping old Tribe jawns, Con should get 1st dibs =)



We Fight, We Love (Remix) - Q-Tip, Kanye West, Consequence

The Video features Kid Cudi & Quence both dropping Really dope (fun) verses and the use of the Googly eyes are always A Plus. Rik Cordero has been behind alot of my favorite videos as of late, Even tho the video is just one location, The use of multiple camera angles, colors and clever shots make up for A lack of Car chases or exploding helicopters, girls, yaughts, whatever it is "rappers" seem to be filling their videos with these days haha

Kid Cudi - Day ‘N’ Night (Offical VIDEO) by So_me (ED BANGER) + CROOKERS MIX 2 D/L



The Hype surrounding Kid Cudi is super crazy and specifically based on This one track "Day N Night" which Personally I think is really dope. The Crookers Remix is even more Amazing song that really helped propel this kids career into the heavens. It didnt Hurt that Kanye West picked the cat up either. I have heard a few different albums/mixtapes from Cudi and there hasnt been A single song other than Day N Night I thought was great. Tho he does get amazing reviews across the blogs, any person I have spoken with has said the same thing as me. A few months ago the Video for the Crookers Version was released but I guess Cudi wasnt happy with the Creative Direction and demanded the Video not be released, Well obviously his wishes were disregarded cus the video was on Blogs all over the Net. Cudi issue a statement saying he isnt Co-signing the video and asked for people not to post it up or watch it and those who do will never be in his "good graces" haha. Now heres the thing, I often do a little research when posting on THEHOBBYSHOPHERO, So because of that reason, I ended up reading his Blog where he said for people not to post it. (At the time, I respected his wishes. As an Artist I know how it feels for something you dont want released find its way out in the public) but what about the people who didnt read his "wishes". What about the Kid that saw the video on some site, and loved it so he posted it on his blog because he is a big supporter of Kid Cudi, So what, now Cudi is gonna go on Strike and not do a Interview for the kids site?.... Do you understand what I am getting out? So yea, Months later the OFFICAL "DAY N NIGHT" Video is released , which is produced by none other than creative director of Edbanger Records, and artist extraordinaire So_Me.

So_me is an Amazing Artist with some pretty colorful concepts. He was also behind one of my favorite Videos and Feel good tracks of the last few years, Kanye's "Good Life" Video



So Word, Its A pretty close knit circle we have here. Cudi, Kanye, So_me, Ed Banger, Crookers, A-Trak etc... I went ahead and posted the "UNofficial" Crookers Video Version + some Extras for you lovely Readers. Aiight well, Im Ghost - Gotta Finish up my Remix of Colin Munroe's "Piano Lessons" =)

Ok...ok...so Im actually coming back to my original Charles Hamilton & Soulja Boy Beef Post with an Update. I really didnt want to waste A whole new post dedicated to Soulja boy Diss songs - I havent listened to enough Charles Hamilton to formulate A Fair Opinion on the cat. One thing is very clear here. Sonic the Hedge hog Hamilton struck gold with this whole situation. Good, Bad Any publicity is good. The Soulja boy Diss was something that was definatly going to happen. The Smartest and meanest and possibly best way for Soulja boy to handle this is not ever bring it up again. Dont mention Charles Hamilton, but we all know that isnt going to happen. It's not far off to say that this could be a Genious Marketing scheme cooked up by Jimmy Iovine to blow up both his label's artists. I mean, It got my Attention hahaha But, if it wasnt for the whole Sonic Iddish this post wouldnt have made it to THE Hobbyshop HERO. I might have posted some tracks from the Artist, but A BEEF / BATTLE, Nah... Ive Avoided A few the past year. I guess if there is any Progress/Updates on this situation... I will come back to this post with an update. So if for some reason this Soulja Boy Diss song, Sonic Beef ish is Entertainment to you. Bookmark this post. hahahaha (hands head in shame)

I original wrote a Long piece with my opinions or lack of, regarding this "So called beef" as well as a few others that are circulating.. The whole [Consequence] Verse [Kid Cudi] Drama, and a few others..... man.... The Video above explains all this drama perfect.

THE HOBBYSHOP HERO TV - feat. The Cool Kids, Kid Cudi, Busta Rhymes, Time Machine, Blu, + More

ALL STAR LINE UP - Keeley & Zaire have been cooking up some heat for a while now and its really good to see that Dinner is almost served. Blu is one of my favorite Emcee's Period. Why?... Because I feel he is alot like myself... The Everyday normal emcee, one you can relate to, Doesnt go over your head and doesnt dumb it down. The Perfect Medium which is why he will do amazing. Fortilive! (Mush, Slo & Illmind) need I say more? The one thing about this joint Im not thrilled about is the Director of the Video "Jeremy Ian Thomas" is the Superemcee/producer known as Surreal, and if he had a verse on this song I think I would be in heaven!.

TIME MACHINE - In The City of everything



This song is Amazing. Another group which reminds me of the music I create. The 1st album from Time Machine was A Classic that you MUST search for if you havent heard it.

[Fun Fact: Time Machine & Dutchmassive both appear on the 1999 mixtape "A Vibe Called Next" by DJ NEXT - when it was released it was a groundbreaking project that featured alot of us Independent Artists before we started making alot of noise.]

BUSTA RHYMES - I GOT BASS




I Love Busta, He always has dope songs on EVERY ALBUM - even tho he sometimes chooses bad songs, powerful commercial hits, and every other chorus goes like "All my live Ni99as WHAT WHAT, BLAH BLAH" I think you know what im talking about.... hahaha But he always has a few gems, and he Rips it on tracks like this one...... This song is a BANGER and the VIDEO is AMAZZZZZZZING!

THE COOL KIDS - DELIVERY MAN



I wasn't feeling this track at 1st, which is surprising because I love everything they have release thus far.... but the Video for this is pretty dope. The Cool kids blew up very very quickly, and when that happens there will always be people who lash out and try to discredit you. Alot of people try to give me reasons why the Cool kids are wack and I shut them down at every turn. They aren't Pharaoh monche or Slum village or so and so... They have they're own sound, they make they're own lane and do it well.

For those who feel the Cool Kids are a Gimmick, Search for "Loose leaf paper" which oddly uses the same samples as "Kelleys dream / She's Ansi" hahaha....

Be on the look out for [The Cool Kids x Dutchmassive] joint in 09!
